Destination Orange Venues: Uphill House B&B
Quiet. Natural. Simple. That’s the motto of the Uphill House B & B, located outside of historic Gordonsville, Virginia in Orange County. The house is very welcoming and comfortable-five bedrooms offer guests plenty of room. When I visited with them for this article my impression of them was “woodsy” and “intimate”.
Three Choices
Uphill House offers two wedding packages as well as an elopement package. There are 11 acres, a deck, a lawn and gardens which makes this venue a great choice for a small, intimate, destination wedding. The ability to rent the whole house is definitely a plus!
Although they do not require you use preferred vendors, innkeepers Samantha and Scott Darling know plenty of local vendors and will help you arrange all your wedding needs, from tent rentals to caterers. Samantha can also act as your photographer or day of coordinator.
Their busy season is April through June and again from September to the end of November due to the beautiful fall foliage in Virginia.
Accommodations Too!
But if your wedding is too large to use Uphill House as a venue, you can still rent the house for the bridal party or out of town guests. They are happy to set up winery tours and other activities for you and your guests!
