After leaving corporate America, Merri Woodward of Cake Krums was looking for some extra income to supplement her job at Madison Emergency Services. She started baking cakes for friends and family out of her home. This enterprise was so successful she moved the business out of her home—first into the Marketplace on Main and now on the corner of Wolftown-Hood Road and Route 29 in Madison, Virginia.

Cakes for all Occasions

Woodward does cakes for all occasions, but some of her very favorites are wedding cakes. The process starts with a planning session with the couple so they can talk about what style of wedding cake they would like, as well as how many people are coming and what flavor of cake they would prefer. The most popular flavors? Almond Raspberry, Lemon and a Vanilla/Chocolate combo.

Size Doesn’t Matter

Cake Krums specializes in cupcake weddings and can do multiple flavors of cupcakes to go with a smaller wedding cake. One of their most challenging weddings—500 mini cupcakes in 15 different flavors with 75 mini chocolate-bourbon-pecan pies to go with them! Sounds good, right? Cake pops are another popular option—Cake Krums decorates each one with a wedding theme and they are fantastic! A great option for your wedding.

Make Cake Krums a stop when planning your wedding—and try some of their delicious cakes and have a good cup of coffee while you are there. Sweet wedding savings
