The Graves’ family have been innkeepers in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Syria, Virginia, for more than 140 years, spanning five generations. Graves Mountain Lodge has been a Madison County destination for locals and tourists as long as anyone can remember. Their Apple Festivals, Bluegrass Festivals and fireworks display draw crowds in the thousands.
All-in-one Venue
The beautiful scenery, ample lodging and many different wedding site options make Graves Mountain Lodge a great choice for your big day. The convenience of a venue where you can have your ceremony, reception, catering and accommodations all in one place make the Lodge a perfect choice for your destination wedding.
Wedding Options
During the warmer months, you may choose to have your wedding ceremony outside on the scenic grounds and the reception in one of the outdoor pavilions by the Rose River. There are two to choose from. The Sycamore pavilion can seat up to 400 guests, and the Chimney Rock pavilion is ideal for an intimate party of 150 or less. Either pavilion can be used for formal and informal dinners. During the winter months, arrange to have your wedding ceremony and reception indoors at the Lodge and surround yourself with the warm glow of the fireplaces.
Things To Do
Many activities for the couple and their guests are close by. There’s hiking, fishing, a country store, swimming, horseback riding and local wineries just to name a few.
